The GoLite Shangri La-3 has made its way into my pack for the 2010 elk season.
A 3-man tent for less then 2 pounds is a no-brainer and so is the ultralight/quick drying Base Layer 1.

backpacking/hunting thing a try you're in luck.
Golite is a leader in ultralight backpacking gear and
they're having a big sale in Colorado Springs! I've used their stuff
for years and love it.
They have some really light shelters (tents and tarps), sleeping bags,

My 2009 archery Elk season was full of very close encounters with Bulls and Cows. Unfortunately none ever presented a shot. However, that doesn't mean the season was a bust. A cow calf at 10 feet, that's pretty exciting in my book.

Fall Hunting Classic at Bass Pro Shops in Denver
During my time at Bass Pro I was able to spend some time with a legend and Bowhunter Hall of Famer Bob Foulkrod. Bob is a man who has a deep passion for passing on the knowledge he's gained while hunting across the world.
