My 2009 archery Elk season was full of very close encounters with Bulls and Cows. Unfortunately none ever presented a shot. However, that doesn't mean the season was a bust. A cow calf at 10 feet, that's pretty exciting in my book.

Fall Hunting Classic at Bass Pro Shops in Denver

During my time at Bass Pro I was able to spend some time with a legend and Bowhunter Hall of Famer Bob Foulkrod. Bob is a man who has a deep passion for passing on the knowledge he's gained while hunting across the world. Other great folks who where in attendance were Brenda Valentine and 4-Time World Elk Calling Champion Dieter Kaboth.
